In 1992, Majed Hassan, a prominent physician, launched a company to meet the increased demand for construction and renovation projects throughout Northeast Florida. This relatively small, family-owned business in Jacksonville immediately grew working on various commercial, residential and new build projects. IDG (International General Development) Contracting quickly became known for their timeliness and ethical business practices.

From an early age on Andy Hassan, had a passion for construction and to help improve the communities he lived in. Upon graduating from his hometown Alma Mata, Jacksonville University, Andy became involved in IGD as the on-site Project Manager. After gaining significant experience on the front line handling projects from start to finish, in 2006 Andy attained his license as a State of Florida Certified Building and Roofing Contractor and created IGD Contracting.

In 2012, IGD Contracting was rebranded to Red Stag Contracting and Andy took over the day-to-day operations while assuming sole ownership of the company. Today, Red Stag continues to grow and is best known for their roofing knowledge and construction craftsmanship. With a successful history of working in industries such as dental, healthcare, food and beverage, residential and retail, it is easy to understand why we have an exceptional reputation throughout Jacksonville.
