NRCA's Roofing Day in D.C.

In mid-April, approximately 28 people from Florida attended NRCA’s Roofing Day in D.C. for in-person meetings with members of Congress. Our group was part of over 220 participants from around the country that included contractors,
suppliers and manufacturers. In all, the group was able to visit with 170 Congressional members. We were all there to speak with one voice on items that are important to the industry and to advocate for solutions to workforce shortages, support for the Department of Energy’s Building Technologies office and the Main Street Tax Certainty Act. 

The roofing industry is an essential $100 billion sector with nearly one million employees. In addition to the above items, we also addressed affordable housing shortages and building, repairing and maintaining schools, hospitals and other critical infrastructure nationwide.
